Sarah Johnston | Chief Executive Officer, Partner

Sarah is an accomplished strategic leader with over 20 years of experience in the benefits and insurance industry. Sarah has a B.Comm and holds her CAIB, CPHR, CMS designations.

Sarah has held many executive leadership positions at Saskatchewan Blue Cross, Group Medical Services (GMS) and Knight Archer Insurance. She currently holds the position of Chair on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS), Past Chair of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute (CPBI) Regional Council, and serves as an elected Board of Director for the Chartered Professionals of Human Resources (CPHR). In recognition of her achievements, Sarah was honored as an ‘Elite Women in Business’ by Insurance Business Canada in 2022.

Sarah was born and raised on a farm near Rosetown, Saskatchewan. She resides in Saskatoon with her husband Steve, and two kids Atlas and Elle.

Bobbee Wood | VP, Personal Lines, Partner

Bobbee began her insurance career as a broker in Manitoba before settling in Saskatchewan to start her family. Bobbee recently was recogized for her outstanding service and was named a Top Broker by Insurance Business Canada. Throughout her career, Bobbee has held various progressive leadership positions, including roles at Saskatchewan Blue Cross and Group Medical Services (GMS). At GMS, she led a national sales team and oversaw over 5000 brokers, specializing in Visitor to Canada, Travel, Individual & Group Benefits.

Bobbee’s focus lies in Commercial Insurance, Personal and Group Health & Travel benefits, as well as Auto and Home Insurance. She cherishes quality time with her husband Chad and their two sons, Breydan and Brantt and her grandson, Marlow, at their cabin in Turtle Lake.

Judy Johnston | Founder, Insurance Broker

Judy has had an impressive career in the insurance industry with over 52 years of experience.

Judy is a proud member of the Rosetown community and sits on the Age Friendly Board of Directors and is a past Chamber of Commerce Board Director.

Judy and her husband Ward live on a farm just outside of Rosetown. They have four children and 10 grandchildren. In Judy’s spare time she loves to spend time with her grandchildren and family, watching them play sports and participate in activities.

Aida Gossa | Marketing & Administrative Coordinator

Aida Gossa, soon to be Mrs. Ismond, currently resides in Saskatoon with her fiancé Jesse Ismond and their dog Dennis. Aida actively volunteers and supports various organizations. Her background in emergency response, criminal justice, and experience as an educational assistant in Kindersley and Saskatoon have provided her with a diverse skill set.

Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Aida was honored with the West Central District Service Award in 2023 for her dedication to high school athletics. Aida takes immense pride in her volunteer work and is committed to creating opportunities for youth.

Aida is currently preparing for the CAIB 1 exam in the fall. With her upcoming wedding in the summer of 2024.

Lacey Owens | Insurance Broker

Lacey is a true multi-talent. With a decade of experience in the insurance industry, and her CAIB 3 license, she is your go to broker for all your farm, home, and business insurance needs. Lacey’s diverse skill set encompasses being a Personal Development Coach, Speaker, and course creator.

Lacey’s roots lie in a farm near Chaplin, SK, and she now resides in Eston, SK, with her family. Beyond her professional pursuits, Lacey cherishes quality time with her children—Coulson, Cooper, Cadence, Dierks—and her golden retriever, Beau. Her interests span from golfing and hosting gatherings to her true passion, cooking. 

Kristy Kolach | VP, Group Benefits

With an impressive 16-year career at Saskatchewan Blue Cross, Kristy brings a wealth of knowledge, having excelled in various roles, including business development, sales, leadership, and group benefits.

Based in Saskatoon, Kristy will lead the charge in expanding our Group Benefits team and division. She’s eager to build on her connection with Saskatchewan Blue Cross and our other partner providers, offering expertise in Life, Disability, Pension, and Group Benefits.

Kristy loves to golf and spend time at the lake with her 8 month old son Vann, husband Trevor, and their two dogs Suzie and Sam.

Lindsay Fischer | Personal Lines Insurance Broker

Lindsay has dedicated the past five years to the insurance industry, finding particular enjoyment in Home, Travel, and Auto insurance, yet she eagerly embraces new challenges. Currently holding her CAIB 1, Lindsay has her sights set on pursuing CAIB 2 this upcoming fall.

Sixteen years ago, Lindsay and her husband, Ryan, relocated to Rosetown, SK, where they started their family. Her loved ones include her two children, Paige and Rylan, along with their two mini Dachshunds, Jasper and Sprocket. Lindsay’s top two pastimes are baking and exploring new destinations, although she does admit that she spends a fair amount of time at the hockey rink!

Delores Jeancart | Admin & Customer Service

Delores’ primary roles at Johnston Insurance Brokers include greeting people, answering phones, bookkeeping, and other administrative duties for the business center. She is the first person that you see upon entering our building. She works full time and her favourite part of her role is seeing the customers and getting to know so many new people.

Delores has two children and three grandchildren Arlo and Rowan, and one step grandson Easton. When she isn’t working she loves baking and travelling in the open air.

Courtney Rye | Director, Business Development

Courtney joined Johnston Insurance in October 2023 from Wawanesa. She carries a decade of experience in the insurance industry. She has obtained her
CAIB 3, restricted auto and the list goes on. Her passions include helping others, coaching and learning.

Courtney grew up on a farm near the town of Gladmar, SK, and she now calls Rosetown home, where she resides with her husband, Travis, and their three beloved dogs – Whiskey, Hank, and Coconut.

Courtney currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Rosetown Chamber of Commerce. She has a passion for travel, with Barcelona and Mexico ranking among her favorite destinations. Her dream? To spend six months of the year living in Mexico someday.

Rebecca Brigham | Branch Manager

Rebecca or some call her “Becca” started working at Johnston Insurance Brokers in November of 2022, however she is not new to the insurance industry. Rebecca is an experienced broker with her level 3, CAIB Designation and has been a broker since 2016.

Becca’s favourite products to sell are Farm, Home and Travel. She is warming up to Commercial insurance as well. Rebecca was born and raised in Rosetown where she currently lives with her daughter and dog Luna. Becca enjoys being involved in her community through her daughters busy activities and also sits on the Museum Board of Directors.

Melissa St. John | Motor License Issuer & Customer Service

Melissa started working at Johnston Insurance Brokers in September 2022 when her family moved back to Saskatchewan from Summerland, British Columbia. She works as a motor license issuer and also has her hail license.

Melissa has three children Rhett, Iain, and Owen. She grew up on a farm near Elrose, Sask and married her husband, Jared St. John, a farm boy from Brock, Saskatchewan.

Melissa has been spending her spare time renovating their new home on an acreage near Milden, Saskatchewan, watching her boys play sports and activities.

Meegan Garrison | Motor License Issuer & Customer Service

Meegan joined the team in November 2023 as an experience Motor License Issuer. Meegan has an extensive background in customer service. In her role she interacts with our clients requiring new drivers license photo ID, renewals, package policies, registration or plate insurance. She can assist you with all your motor license needs. Meegan is excited to take her CAIB 1 next year.

Meegan and her husband recently got married and moved to Rosetown from Saskatoon.
